Draxler: “Head to the Confed Cup without pressure”

The Germany national team will travel to the Confederations Cup full of confidence after thrashing San Marino 7-0. The players were clearly satisfied with their performance although they wanted even more goals. DFB.de brings you all the post-match reaction.

Julian Draxler: It is really fun playing in this team. It has been a long season so now we want to enjoy what we are doing. We are feeling positive and head to the Confed Cup without any pressure on us. Sandro Wagner deserved his hat-trick.

Joachim Löw: It was a test for us because San Marino are not on the same level as us. We were able to do a lot of things we practiced in training today. The Confed Cup will be an important experience for many of our young players.

Sandro Wagner: We wanted to score a lot of goals and of course to win the match. It’s great that I was able to do my bit with my three goals. I’ve waited a long time for this moment. When you start as the striker against San Marino, there is some pressure on you. I’m glad that it worked out so well.

Joshua Kimmich: We wanted to play with a lot of pace going forward. Our strikers were very good. We could have scored one or two more but we are very satisfied with the result. We are all excited for the Confed Cup and we are taking it seriously.

Amin Younes: We practiced a lot and managed to implement those things really well. We might have scored a few more but it was a decent performance. There is still room for improvement. The team has a lot of quality. We want to present ourselves well as World Champions at the Confederations Cup.
