He announced that he is determined to win more titles. “For the first time in my career, I’m moving to a new country where they speak a different language. I’m very proud to make the next step in my career at one of the best clubs in Europe who have a lot of great players,” said Draxler. “I will do everything I can to help PSG win titles and grow more as a club.”

PSG club boss Nasser Al-Khelaïfi praised his new signing from VfL Wolfsburg. “He has all the right qualities to play a main role in our team. I’m sure he will become a fan favourite,” said Al-Khelaïfi in a statement that was released on the PSG website on Tuesday. “Signing Draxler will help us achieve our high ambitions.” The details of the transfer remain undisclosed.

The forward extended his contract at VfL Wolfsburg until 2020 in August 2015 before moving to PSG at the end of 2016.
