Draxler arrives at team hotel: “I'm feeling better”

Julian Draxler arrived at the Germany team hotel on Wednesday afternoon. The Schalke attacking midfielder had been confined to his bed in recent days due to a cold, but now he’s back in the mix. “I’m feeling better and I’m delighted to be meeting up with my international teammates again,” said Draxler on his arrival in Frankfurt. “Two days’ rest did me some good.”

The World Champion will train with the team in Frankfurt on Thursday, before the squad head to Warsaw on Friday in preparation for their EURO 2016 qualifier against Poland the following day (20:45 CEST). The Germany national team then head to Draxler’s hometown; Joachim Löw’s side will face Ireland in Gelsenkirchen on Tuesday (20:45 CEST).
