Dortmund open 10-point lead as Bayern lag behind

League leaders Borussia Dortmund took a big step towards their first Bundesliga title in nine years on Sunday as a 2-0 win over Nuremberg extended their lead at the top to 10 points. Bayer Leverkusen struck twice in six second-half minutes to edge past visitors Köln 3-2 and move within a point of second-placed Mainz 05.

On Saturday, FC Schalke 04 stopped the catch-up race of Bayern München. The team of coach Felix Magath beat Bayern 2-0.
