The bad news coming out of Bayern Munich this evening is that Holger Badstuber has suffered yet another injury. The 26-year-old fractured his ankle in Bayern training. He has already been operated on but now faces around three months on the sidelines.
Badstuber made a Bayern comeback just weeks ago before his last comeback in November. Previously to that he had been out for six months. Numerous injuries have seen him out for almost two years.
Bayern, who face Augsburg tomorrow, now face a selection crisis as their other centre backs Jerome Boateng, Javi Martinez, Medhi Benatia and new signing Serdar Tasci are all also out of action. Joshua Kimmich has slotted into the position of late, but it will be a challenge for Pep Guardiola and his staff.
