Die Mannschaft launch new away kit

The Germany national team and official kit sponsor adidas launched the new away kit earlier today in Paris. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mesut Özil, Thomas Müller and Co. will now be pulling off a street-football style with the new away jersey. Just this Monday, the DFB and adidas launched the new home kit ahead of EURO 2016 in France.

The colours of the away shirt encompasses the different elements of German football: grey representing the concrete playgrounds and arenas where street footballers, the green reflecting the grass pitches on a Sunday morning and the beige reminiscent of the cinder pitches were local legends have been born.

The highlight? The jersey can also be turned inside out. On the inside is a neon-yellow bib, with the words "Kicken - Bolzen - Pöhlen", as a motto for street footballers, a stitched into the shirt. “To have a reversible shirt is a cool idea,” said World Cup winner Thomas Müller. "It’s never been so easy to form a team on the pitch, like these days.” There’s also a slimmer, more feminine version for all female fans.

The kit will make it’s debut this coming Tuesday (20:45 CET) when Die Mannschaft take on the Netherlands in the final international of 2015.
