DFB women start with fitness tests

The DFB women’s team began their international break today with some fitness tests. Ahead of their games with France on Saturday (14:00 CEST) and Sweden next Wednesday in Örebro (18:00 CEST), the focus was on both endurance and cardio-vascular exercises.

As well as undergoing sprinting, spring, coordination and change of direction tests at the sports hall in Frankfurt-Kalbach, the players will also take an endurance test, where the mandatory lactate values will be taken. The 24 players that have been called-up will be joined in the fitness tests by U20 World Champions Meike Kämper, Svenja Huth, Johanna Elsig, Julia Simic, Isabelle Linden and Katharina Baunach.

The DFB women’s team begin their preparation for the 2015 World Cup in Canada with a game against France. This will continue with their game against Sweden and then a friendly against England in London on November 23rd.
