Bianca Schmidt, Lena Petermann, Verena Faißt, Almuth Schult, Lisa Weiß and Lira Alushi will not be available for Germany's encounter with Brazil in Fürth on Wednesday (18:00 CEST) due to injury.
While Almuth Schult suffered from muscular problems following Friday's performance tests and Lisa Weiß sustained a tendon injury in her finger during Saturday's training session, Lena Petermann, Bianca Schmidt (both muscular problems) and Verena Faißt (knee injury) had all arrived with minor injuries but were not able to recover in time, despite intensive treatment by the medical department.
Lira Alushi had complained about knee problems following her return from a training camp in Qatar with her club Paris St. Germain. An MRI scan revealed an inflammation of the knee. Alushi will undergo further examinations at the Hellersen sports clinic.
Germany coach Silvia Neid post has called up Svenja Huth (1. FFC Frankfurt), Katharina Baunach (FC Bayern München) and keeper Meike Kämper (MSV Duisburg) as replacements.
