DFB-Team land in Glasgow

Today’s flight to Scotland was somewhat of a trip back in time for Die Mannschaft. The A321 plane they used to get to Glasgow for tomorrow’s European Championship qualifier against Scotland (20:45 CEST) featured a historical design. The specially decorated Lufthansa plane was an impressive sight as it flew the players and staff towards their eighth group match.

The squad flew over Cologne, Amsterdam, the North Sea and Edinburgh on their way to Glasgow. The 1,000km journey was complete at 12:23 CEST – Joachim Löw and his men were now on Scottish soil. The team were greeted by a number of fans, as well as strong wind and bright sunshine. 20 minutes later they arrived at their hotel – they were eating lunch not long after that.

At 16:30 CEST the players take to the training field for a final 60 minute session ahead of tomorrow’s qualifier against the Scots, who are currently fourth in Group D.
