There’s still some time until the Wednesday DFB Cup games, but we've put together all of the most important facts surrounding the four fixtures.

Sportfreunde Lotte vs. 1860 Munich

Head-to-head: This is the first meeting between the two sides.

Current season: This season, Lotte have upset a pair of top flight teams, beating Werder Bremen 2-1 in the first round, then overcoming Bayer Leverkusen in the next round on penalties. Meanwhile, 1860 defeated Karlsruhe SC 2-1 and the Würzberger Kickers 4-3, although they needed extra time to overcome the latter side.

2015/2016 Cup run: Lotte didn’t make it past the first round last year, losing to Bayer Leverkusen 3-0. However, 1860 Munich knocked two Bundesliga outfits out of the competition – TSG Hoffenheim and 1. FSV Mainz 05, before exiting the Cup themselves in the round of 16.

SV Sandhausen vs. FC Schalke 04

Hannover 96 vs. Eintracht Frankfurt

2015/2016 Cup run: Hannover 96 fell in the second round to Darmstadt last year, despite Artur Sobiech leveling things up, Sandro Wagner scored the winner in a 2-1 victory for Darmstadt. Frankfurt were also eliminated in the second round last season, after a 1-0 defeat to Erzgebirge Aue.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Hertha Berlin

Current season: Dortmund swept the aside Eintracht Trier 3-0 in the first round, before needing the heroics of Roman Wiedenfeller in a penalty shoot out against Union Berlin in round two, prevailing 3-0 after spot kicks. Hertha also needed penalties to beat Jahn Regensburg 5-3 in round one, before beating St. Pauli 2-0 in the last round.

Borussia Dortmund Head Coach Thomas Tuchel: This is a very hard game, but at least we will be at home.

Hertha also had a strong run in the competition, but were denied a place in the final by Dortmund after a 3-0 loss in the semi-final.
