DFB invites youth team to Germany

With a special gesture the German football association (DFB) said goodbye to its hosts at the DFB headquarter in Myazaki. The DFB has invited a youth team of the Japanese town to a visit to Germany. With that the association underlined the friendship arisen within the last almost three weeks with the 300,000 inhabitant town on the south Japanese main island of Kyushu.

On Monday morning the complete staff of Germany´s WC lodging "Sheraton Phoenix Golf Resort" in the vacation plant Seagaia said goodbye with best wishes for the next game(s). About 30 Japanese fans turned up for Germany´s departure. "We will meet in Yokohama" stood on a banner. The final of the 17th World Cup takes place there on June 30th.

DFB team manager Rudi Voeller had particularly thanked the hosts before the take-off to Shizuoka for the last group match. "The hospitality was sensational. The training conditions were very good. In Germany you have to search for a long time to find such places", the 42-year-old said during the last press conference in Miyazaki. created by mm
