DFB donate football shirts to Brazilian foundation

The 2014 World Cup in Brazil may have finished a while ago, but the friendships we made have lasted ever since. Football is about more than just what happens on the pitch, and as part of our social engagement programme, the DFB have donated over 100 shirts, shorts and socks to Brazilian children. The AZO Brazil foundation received of the donation.

"We have lots of good memories of the people we met in Brazil," said Michael Kirchner, head of events management for the DFB. "The AZO Brazil foundation supports children on the streets and aims to give them a better prospects. Football is therefore a great way to reach out to the children and bring them together."

The donation includes both the Germany team's white home shirts and green away shirts. Now that the necessary bureaucratic steps have been completed, the young Brazilians have received the donated clothing.
