DFB Cup semi-finals: Dortmund versus Wolfsburg, Bayern to face Kaiserslautern

Second-division 1. FC Kaiserslautern stand between defending champions Bayern Munich and the DFB Cup final in Berlin. Kirsten Bruhn and Hansi Flick made the draw on Wednesday evening after the treble winners’ 5-0 quarter-final victory over Hamburger SV. Borussia Dortmund will face VfL Wolfsburg in the other semi-final, with Munich and Dortmund hosting the two matches.

The semi-finals will be held on 15/16 April, with the final to follow at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium on 17 May. Wolfsburg are the only semi-finalists never to have won the Cup before.

Exciting matches are also expected in the women’s tournament. SGS Essen will meet SC Freiburg, while 1. FFC Frankfurt host second-division SC Sand. The women’s semi-finals will be played on 12/13 April, with the final set to take place on 17 May.
