DFB Cup round of 16 scheduled

Two David vs. Goliath fixtures will be available on German terrestrial TV during the DFB Cup round of 16. ARD will show two lower league sides clashing with Bundesliga teams during the first week of March. On Tuesday, 3rd March (20:30 CET), the public TV station will show the match between third-division outfit Dynamo Dresden and Borussia Dortmund. On Wednesday, 4th March (20:30 CET) the fixture between Regionalliga-Südwest team Kickers Offenbach and top-flight outfit Borussia Mönchengladbach will also be live on ARD. The official DFB partners Sky will show all fixtures on pay TV as usual.

The kick-off times for all other fixtures have also been determined by the DFB today. The round of 16 begins on 3rd March at 19:00 CET with fixtures between second-tier sides VfR Aalen and 1. FC Kaiserslautern take on Bundesliga teams 1899 Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen respectively. Lautern and Bayer 04 met in the quarterfinals last year. An all-Bundesliga clash between SC Freiburg and 1. FC Köln kicks off at 20:30 CET.

On 4th March (19:00 CET), second-division club RB Leipzig face VfL Wolfsburg and Arminia Bielefeld host Werder Bremen. The matchday concludes with a 20:30 CET kick-off between defending champions FC Bayern München and second-tier side Eintracht Braunschweig.
