DFB Collectors Card Promotion wins LIMA-Award 2012

In Munich on 12 November 2012, the international Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association, LIMA, organised 'Licensing Market 2012, Germany's marketplace of licenses'. The annual event serves as the backdrop for the LIMA Germany award ceremony, with this year's edition attended by more than 1,000 visitors including renowned licensees, agencies, and manufacturers displaying their brands and properties.

DFB Consulting & Sales Services won the sought-after award for its’ DFB Collectors Card Promotion in the category “Best promotion of the year”. The winning promotion, realized in cooperation with REWE and m4e during the UEFA Euro 2012, went over a seven-weeks period and was available in more than 3,500 REWE stores all over Germany. The campaign consisted of 38 official DFB Collectors Cards, one DFB album as well as different merchandising articles handed out to customers as a gift if the value of their purchased goods was above a certain threshold.

Denni Strich, managing director of the DFB Consulting & Sales Services thanked the jury and DFB partners m4e and REWE. In the explanatory statement the jury highlighted the originality and creative implementation of the licensing issue that was directly aimed at customers. “The DFB Collectors card promotion had a hugely positive impact on distribution and generated high levels of attention within the industry and market”, the jury added.
