Czechs no match as German Women win 5-0

Germany's Women National Team celebrated a 5-0 (3-0) victory against the Czech Republic in Gera on Thursday in an international serving as preparation for the World Cup in China in September.

4793 spectators in the "Stadium der Freundschaft" saw a German team, which was in control from the first kick of the match. Birgit Prinz opened the score after 19 minutes, when she shot in from ten metres. Simone Laudehr doubled the lead six minutes later with a powerful shot from just inside the box, celebrating her first goal in just her second cap. Kerstin Garefrekes made it 3-0 in the 38th minute from close range. In the dying minutes of the encounter substitute Martina Müller tipped in a shot by Fatmire Bajramaj hitting the post for goal number four (83th), just to let Prinz finish the score in the last minute of the match to make it 5-0.
