Cottbus win in relegation clash

At the bottom of the table Energie Cottbus won in an important relegation clash at Arminia Bielefeld 3-1 (1-0), while 1860 München lost to 1. FC Kaiserslautern 0-1 (0-0). Karlsruhe was not really able to keep their promotion dreams alive playing 1-1 (1-0) against Erzgebirge Aue.

Top of the table 1. FC Köln missed an important win on Round 26 of 2. Bundesliga, but is still on target to Bundesliga. After draws of the haunters the team of coach Peter Stöger tied with VfR Aalen 0-0 and missed to enlarge the advance to place three, which is still six points. Promotion aspirant FC St. Pauli played also 0-0 and missed the jump to place three. FSV Frankfurt and Fortuna Düsseldorf tied 0-0 in third game on Saturday.

The top teams cannot win on Friday evening. Greuther Fürth missed three points, when the team of coach Frank Kramer tied 1-1 with Dynamo Dresden. But the SpVgg is still on second place of the table. In top clash Union Berlin and third SC Paderborn played also 1-1. VfL Bochum are still struggling at home. The team of coach Peter Neururer lost against SV Sandhausen and is in fear of relegation.
