Kevin de Bruyne (51’) restored their lead but Alexis Sanchez equalised for Arsenal with 22 minutes left on the clock. Neither side could force a winner.

Liverpool remain in the hunt for the Europa League slots

Goals from Joe Allen and former Hoffenheim player Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool a 2-0 victory over Watford. They’re currently eighth in the table but could climb into the Europa League places on Wednesday if they beat Chelsea. The Reds, who qualified for the final of Europe’s secondary club competition on Thursday, were without Germany international Emre Can for the match.

Mario Gómez grabbed the winner as Besiktas beat Lukas Podolski’s Galatasaray 1-0 on Sunday evening in Istanbul. That victory means that Besiktas are on the cusp of lifting the title. The game, which took place in the Türk Telekom Arena, was an eventful affair, with the only goal of the game coming with just 14 minutes left on the clock. He has now scored 24 goals in just 31 league appearances this season. Podolski completed the game for Galatasaray but didn’t offer a threat.

Senol Günes’ men currently have 76 points to their name, six more than Fenerbahce, who face Basaksehir on Monday. Galatsaray (45) are seventh and need to kick on in the coming weeks in order to stand a chance of reaching the Europa League.
