A defeat for AS Roma and Germany international Antonio Rüdiger: In the battle for an automatic Champions League qualification spot, third placed Napoli closed the gap to just two points after beating second placed Roma 2-1. Belgian international Dries Mertens bagged a brace (26’, 50’) whilst Strootman (89) scored for Roma. Rüdiger was deployed as a right-back. Sami Khedira plays on Sunday against Udinese, and Juventus will pull away ten points clear in the event of a win.
Draxler and PSG win again
Julian Draxler and Paris St. Germain continue to be in the Ligue 1 title-race. With Kevin Trapp in goal, they won at home 1-0 against AS Nancy through a 80th minute Edinson Cavani goal. Draxler came on in the 64th minute.
