Can scores Liverpool’s 100th goal this season

Confed Cup winner Emre Can scored a milestone goal for Liverpool in their 4-1 home win over West Ham on matchday 28 in the Premier League. The 24-year-old took the Reds’ goals tally for the 2017/18 season up to 100 by heading in Mohamed Salah’s corner to put Liverpool 1-0 ahead after 29 minutes.

Further goals followed from Salah, Roberto Firmino – courtesy of a Can assist – and Sadio Mané secured a comfortable LFC win over the Hammers, whose sole goal came from Michail Antonio. Jürgen Klopp’s side now have 57 points to their name, taking them ahead of Manchester United (56) overnight at least into second place, behind league leaders Manchester City (72).
