Bremen only with draw, Köln win in traditional battle

Three of the four top teams of the Bundesliga didn't manage a win on Round 20. Bayern München came back thanks to a goal by Ivica Olic after 71 minutes to earn a 1-1 (0-1) at old rivals Hamburger SV. Schalke 04 also trailed at home in their 1-1 (0-1) draw against Mainz 05, while Borussia Mönchengladbach drew goalless at VfL Wolfsburg.

Borussia Dortmund got ahead of their opponents and created a two-point-lead on top with a 2-0 win at 1. FC Nürnberg on Friday. Sebastian Kehl (48.) and Lucas Barrios (82.) scored the goals of the day in Nürnberg and kept up the series of 14 games without defeat.

On Sunday rock-bottom SC Freiburg tied 2-2 against Werder Bremen. Top-scorer Claudio Pizarro of Werder scored twice, Cedric Makiadi and Jonathan Schmid adjusted two times. So Freiburg is still 18th of the table. Bremen passed up the chance to reduce the gap to the big four teams Dortmund, FC Bayern, Schalke 04 and Borussia Mönchengladbach. 1. FC Köln won 1-0 in traditional battle at 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the last game of Round 20. Due to the 7th win of this season, Köln moved forward to 9th place. The "Red Devils" stay on relegation place 16.
