Boateng out for six weeks

World Cup winner Jérôme Boateng has successfully undergone surgery on a pectoral tendon and will be unavailable for the next six weeks. FC Bayern München shared the news of the successful surgery procedure:

”The operation went very well,” said team doctor Volker Braun. “Jérôme Boateng will be unavailable for selection for around six weeks so that he can fully recover from the surgery.”

Boateng has recently been having shoulder and pectoral problems after a fall in training. He didn’t feature in FC Bayern München’s 1-0 win against SV Darmstadt 98 last Sunday.
