Germany national team players Jérôme Boateng and Toni Kroos have been chosen in the “2016 UEFA team of the year” by the fans. Kroos and Portugal’s European Championship winner Cristiano Ronaldo, are among four players from the Champions League winners Real Madrid. Spanish rivals FC Barcelona have three players in the team, including superstar Lionel Messi.
Boateng is the only Bundesliga player to make the team. The eleven is completed by Juventus pair Gianliugi Buffon and Leonardo Bonucci as well as Frenchman Antoinne Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
