Frankfurt came third (53 points) and could still reach the competition, should they win this year’s Champions League final against Paris St. Germain on Thursday in Berlin (18:00 CEST).

Neid congratulates Bayern
Germany head coach Silvia Neid also congratulated Bayern on their achievement. “Their victory is the result of continued hard work,” explained the 51-year-old. “I have a lot of respect for Thomas Wörle, who has assembled a great team.”
MSV Duisburg have been relegated alongside Herforder SV. Duisburg beat Herford 4-0 on the final day but SC Sand won 1-0 against Bayer Leverkusen, which meant that they retained their one point advantage over MSV.
