Bayern München have made sure of the dream final at the Audi Cup. The German champions deservedly beat AC Milan 3-0 just three days after the defeat to VfL Wolfsburg in the Supercup.
Pep Guardiola’s team will now face Real Madrid and the returning Toni Kroos on Wednesday in the final of the high-quality tournament. Real qualified by beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 despite the absence of the injured Cristiano Ronaldo. Even before the season begins, the fans are getting a whiff of Champions League action.
Thiago and Arjen Robben were spared for Bayern, but Juan Bernat put them into the lead with a deflected shot in the 23rd minute.
