Bayern head to Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal

FC Bayern München will visit RB Leipzig in the second round of the 2017-18 DFB-Pokal. The mouth-watering clash was one of 16 drawn out by comedian Carolin Kebekus and overseen by Stefan Kuntz at the Deutschen Fußballmuseum in Dortmund on Sunday evening.

The only remaining Regionalliga side, 1. FC Schweinfurt 05, will face last season’s beaten finalists Eintracht Frankfurt, whereas defending champions Borussia Dortmund will visit third-tier side 1. FC Magdeburg, whilst Lower Saxony rivals VfL Wolfsburg and Hannover 96 will face off.

The ties will take place on the 24th and 25th October. On both days four games will kick off at 18:30 CET and 20:30 CET. Exact scheduling will be disclosed in the coming days. The final will take place on 19th May 2018 in Berlin’s Olympiastadion.
