The result came one week after the 1-0 first leg win in San Sebastian and meant the tie finished 6-2 aggregate to the Catalans. Coach Luis Enrique rested German national goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and replaced him with Dutchman Jasper Cillessen between the posts.
Luis Suarez gave Barcelona the lead after good build up play from namesake Denis in the 17th minute. Lionel Messi added a second from the penalty spot before the hour. Sociedad grew into the game thereafter and pulled one back shortly after, only for Suarez to re-established the two goal cushion for the home side straight away.

Wilian Jose da Silva grabbed another consolation for Socieded in the closing stages before Arda Turan and Denis Suarez put the result beyond doubt before the end.
Barcelona will be joined the final four by Atletico Madrid, and surprise packages Deportivo Alaves and Celta Vigo, who knocked out Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Red Devils will meet Southampton in the final on 26 February at Wembley Stadium. Southampton booked their place after knocking out Emre Can’s Liverpool on Wednesday night.
