Australia without Spiranovic against Germany

The Australia national team with be without defender Matthew Spiranovic for their friendly against World Champions Germany in Kaiserslautern on Wednesday night (20:30 CET), after the 26-year-old picked up a hamstring injury. Spiranovic, who plays Down Under for Western Sydney Wanderers, has been replaced in the squad by Preston North End’s Bailey Wright, Football Federation Australia announced on Sunday.

Spiranovic is a familiar face to the Bundesliga. He wore Nürnberg colours between 2007 and 2011 and won the DFB Cup with FCN in his first season at the club.
