Arsenal with Özil and Mertesacker on course for Champions League

Arsenal and World Champions Mesut Özil and Per Mertesacker are on course to qualify for the Champions League with four games remaining. The Gunners beat relegation-threatened Hull City 3-1 and have now gone ten games unbeaten in a row in the Premier League.

The 13-time title winners are currently in third place with 70 points, now five ahead of fourth-placed Manchester United. They also have a game in hand over their rivals. Chelsea (83 points) won their fifth title on Sunday, while Manchester City, who have the same number of points as Arsenal, occupy second.

The London side lived up to their favourites tag in the first half thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey. Stephen Quinn grabbed a consolation goal for Hull. Özil, named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month, was involved in many of Arsenal’s good attacking moves.
