Nadine Angerer and her team, Brisbane Roar, have qualified for the play-off semi-final of the Australian W-League. The side featuring the Germany captain and FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year reached the play-offs with games to spare, along with Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory and Canberra United.
Brisbane Roar still have two regular league games left to play after defeating Western Sydney Wanderers 3-2 at the weekend. The two championship play-off semi-finals will take place on 15 and 16 February, with the final to be played on 23 February.
Angerer will then join up with her international team-mates when Germany take part in the Algarve Cup in Portugal from 5 to 12 March, before moving to new club Portland Thorns in the USA’s National Women’s Soccer League.
