The German women beat the Netherlands in a test match for the European Championships 6-0 (4-0). After the interval Simone Laudehr (57th) and Da Mbabi (90th) also hit the target.

After Linda Bresonik and Behringer issued early notice of the German intent, the pressure told on nine minutes when Prinz burst through the Dutch defence and had her effort deflected in by Geurts. No sooner had Vera Pauw's side digested the shock of conceding they fell further behind seven minutes later, Grings capping a solo run with a cool finish.

Eight minutes before the break Behringer rifled in a long-range free-kick and two minutes later Prinz headed in a cross from her 1. FFC Frankfurt team-mate Kerstin Garefrekes.

Friendly Match: Germany vs Netherlands

After the restart Germany struck again when Prinz fed Laudehr, who deftly lobbed Geurts. A flurry of substitutions followed thereafter, one of whom, Da Mbabi, rounded off the game with a shot from the edge of the area in added time.

Germany coach Silvia Neid said: "I am really pleased with the passion my players showed today. We are in a good way but the games against Japan and Russia will be more difficult. We have a good blend of young and experienced players and things are looking good, we have all the injured players back."

Silvia Neid has nominated 26 players for the tentative EURO squad that will be reduced to 22 players for the final tournament. "Those who want to take part in the EURO have to show their ability. I expect my team to show passion on the pitch and to be hungry for success", Neid says with regard to the international friendlies and her nomination of the final EURO squad.

In Finland, the German women start with the match against Norway on August, 24th. In group B, France (August 27th) and Iceland (August 30th) are the other two opponents. The German group matches all take place in Tampere.
