3:1 in Switzerland: U-21 team goes to Israel

The German U-21 team has won 3:1 (3:0) in the second leg of the play-offs in Switzerland and has finally qualified for the European Championships 2013 in a nonchalant style.

After the 1:1 (0:0) in the first leg in Leverkusen the superior captain Lewis Holtby (8.) lead his team with a direct free-kick in direction to Israel. The other goals by Lasse Sobiech (20.) and Sebastian Polter (45.) were also led by the midfielder from Schalke 04. Josip Drmic (75.) scored the consolation goal for the Swiss.

"The first half was of course very good. It was exemplary, as Lewis Holtby has driven the team", said DFB-coach Rainer Adrion after the match.
