12 league wins on the bounce for Juve and Khedira

World Cup winner Sami Khedira helped his Juventus side climb to the top of the Serie A table on Sunday afternoon. Bayern München’s Champions League opponents racked up a comfortable 4-0 against Chievo in Verona but Napoli could force them back down to second if they win this evening.

Khedira, who was taken off at the break, created Alvaro Morata’s 40th minute strike, which made it 2-0. The Spaniard opened the scoring after six minutes. The Turin side netted twice after the break, courtesy of Alex Sandro (61’) and Paul Pogba (67’).

Juventus’ last league defeat dates back to October 2015 (1-0 vs. Sassuolo). The first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Bayern takes place on 23rd February.
