1. FFC Frankfurt grab their seventh DFB Women's Cup

1. FFC Frankfurt the old and new winner of the DFB Women's Cup. The record Cup holders won their seventh title in their 10th successive final by beating Bundesliga rivals 1. FC Saarbrücken 5-1 (1-1) in Berlin's Olympic Stadium.

The first team to celebrate however were the underdogs from Saarland, when American Natale Budge scored after four minutes with a powerful shot to beat German National golakeeper Silke Rottenberg.

Renate Lingor missed the equalizer in the 12th minute from the penalty spot - keeper Romina Holz stopping miraculously - but the Hessian team stroke back anyway. In minute 22 it was Petra Wimbersky scoring from close range.

After the break the League leaders settled the title in less than ten minutes with Conny Pohlers (50., 59.) and Kerstin Garefrekes (54.) scoring quickly. Birgit Prinz finished the result up 15 minutes from time (75.).
